Astrolabe is used for to tell the time in the 13th century. They are really expensive. Astrolabes help us to connect with the night sky. Geoffery Chaucer was the person wrote an instruction manuel for astrolabe. if you want to use the astrolabe to know the time there are five different steps that you have to use.
1. select a star.
2. measure the altitude.
3. identify the star infront of the device.
4.move the retes to set the star altitude. 5.move the rule to a date line which then tells the time.
